So if you are looking to work in a conflict area or more dangerous part of the world, there is a series of tests and lectures that you can take to get a certificate saying that you completed a United Nations (UN) security course. This course is mandatory for all UN staff and can be taken by anyone else who is interested.
You can add this into your CV since the UN is regarded as the standard “setter” regarding security and operational procedures for most organisations working in more dangerous parts of the world.
There are two certificates (ASITF & BSITF) and both take roughly the same time to complete 2-4 hours. Pretty boring and self-evident at times but easy to complete if you are serious.
