Had a problem with a few dead pixels on my older laptop a year or so ago.
It is super annoying to have even one dead pixel, especially if it is somewhere in the middle of the screen.
So i went out on a mission determined to fix the issues and found this helpful website.
It provides you with instructions and free tools to try and locate as well as revive the dead little buggers.
I managed to get all except one pixel back up an running. The last one I guess was beyond repair and joined pixel heaven.
